Obrigado 大家 :D

Anybody know what’s the meaning of my title?? It’s a mix of 2 languages and the 2nd part is pronounced as “DA JIA”. I want the exact english translation of this guys :P

Thank you all for the suggestions! So you want to know what I finally chose to write about? Well….
TIME FOR THE SPOILERS BIT AGAIN! A long one? maybe hehe ▼

Most of you wanted more personal posts such as what’s inside of my bag, tour of my home, more about me, vlogs (haha not the right time yet lolz!), latest shopping (this will come later WHEN THEY ARRIVE!! WHOOT!! :D), what I had for dinner (hello to you newcomers to my blog! hehe), memorable adventure, my fashion, my daily beauty regime (wah, I don’t really have one! but wait…), or family (kinda hard to do… and I’ll explain later). The rest were about food and latest addictions and I find that I must write about food sometime…

So you must be all wondering why my posts aren’t that personal after the few months you’ve been with me… well for one thing I think my personal life is kinda boring… okay but seriously, I really don’t like talking about myself or my situation or what. I’ve been like this since, I don’t know when or maybe I just don’t know what’s interesting about myself. Even if you meet me in person, I wouldn’t want to talk about me all the time. I would rather talk about other people with frigging colorful lives and just strive to become like that interesting person. So I think I have huge insecurities or something… or I don’t want to be judged. So pardon guys if you don’t see much ramblings about me or rants (I seriously do not like rants on blogs. I think that if you have any pent up frustrations, doing it in a public place WOULD NOT HELP YOU. Yes, the internet is a public place. Confide in friends my dears or write it in a private diary/blog instead. *wipes ranty words away from blog to become squeaky clean*) Anyway…

I’ll do the

MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE BIT!

Have I told you guys that one of the reasons of my long hiatuses before purchasing this domain was because I was going on a 12 day trip to Shanghai to visit my uncle? Well now you know and it was the most exhilarating experiences I’ve had since my previous trip to China only consisted of memories of pigs and smelly old China buildings. And it was my first trip abroad WITHOUT MUM AND DAD! I was only with my brother and grandma so a certain freedom was used there. I brought my journal/planner and wrote everything down so I won’t forget. But I wouldn’t be able to talk about everything here because THERE ARE JUST SO MANY. So I’ll just choose one… THE HANGZHOU ESCAPADE.

My uncle lived in Shanghai but he urged us to go to the beautiful neighboring province of Hang Zhou but only grandma (or let’s call her Ahma coz that’s how we Chinese/Fukkien call her), bro and I had to venture off on our since uncle still had work. So there we were, going off to the unknown.

The train system in China is very busy, so busy that you won’t see an empty space in the train station for miles. We arrived there safely but then realized… there were no taxi stops. Where the heck were the taxis? We booked a hotel in Shangrila already but no transportation was provided. We didn’t want to go to those carpooling because they looked like a scary lot. Thankfully a kind-looking driver ran towards and offered us a RIDE IN HIS VAN. Well we didn’t have any choice because there no taxis in sight so we agreed. Guess what was inside his van?

That kitty kept mocking us with his face and we were ripped off a few yuan. But at least we didn’t get killed. So guys, PLEASE BE WARY WHEN GOING TO HANG ZHOU ALONE.

Armed only with a Hang Zhou brochure and some guiding words of my uncle, we traveled and absorbed the beauty and culture! One of the highlights was meeting WINNIE THE POOH’S HUMONGOUS TREE! Okay, it’s not Winnie the Pooh’s tree but it could sure have been. GINORMOUS!

*Note: To get to this true, you had to go through a stream with only STONES leading to the hill, and I was frightened because of the height of the hill. Surprisingly, Chinese Senior Citizens go through these rocks and to the hill effortlessly. I am amazed at their vigor and youth-like AGILITY.*

I hated the first day we were there because of the rotten luck we’re experiencing like that opportunist driver, then we reserved tickets to the WRONG show! Generally my fault but how did I know that there were TWO Lake Shows?? And one doesn’t even INVOLVE A FRIGGING LAKE. Nevertheless, the indoor show was good but wasn’t really worth that much. I AM GOING BACK TO HANG ZHOU AND WATCH THAT BEFORE I DIE! (The real lake show that we were supposed to watch was directed by the director of the Beijing Olympics opening.)

To appease our frustrations, we walked for an hour and sort of toured the city looking for this restaurant my brother saw in the brochure. Ahma and I thought that at the rate we’re going, the restaurant would already be closed but we walked anyway. Guess what? By the time we arrived and were only FIVE FEET AWAY from the restaurant, the lights from their signage suddenly WENT OUT! Yes ladies and gents, things in movies CAN HAPPEN in real life!

Good thing this cheered this up…

You know, I just love how family-oriented you are. :3 It’s not likely to have many people around our age to actually still want to be around their families. With that said you look like you one might amount of time around Shanghai! And the PANDAS. And TOYS. God I would’ve been squealing like a maniac. dedz

I understand what you mean about personal posts though. That’s the whole point of them being personal: that it’s something we might not want to share with everyone. A picture or two sure, but not our entire lives. I think it’s fine every now and then but EVERY single post is kind of daunting and then eventually gets boring. I just hope I don’t wind up posting a bajillion pictures of myself in the future. I’m not that addicted to the internet… yet. o_O

Side-note: That Snow White costume was amazingly cute! wee

Haha! Yeah we’re a very family-oriented lot :P Though there are some problems really… sighs…

That was shot in Shanghai’s OCEANARIUM! I swear it’s HUGE and it has the longest UNDERWATER ESCALATOR. Well it’s not underwater, I mean you’re in this tunnel under water. Really awesome! I have more pics in my Multiply if you want. I’ll upload it in my gallery though :P hahaa. That pic isn’t even 1/8 of the store! Heehee

Yah right? A personal post once in a while would be good. I’ll try to make it every 2 weeks or something. haha :P

Hey! Sorry for being rather inactive but after I got back from my 6 weeks of travelling I had to work lots and lots and then offline friend shizzle kicked off… not that great but then that are what best-friends are for, right?

The meaning of that word means ‘thank you’… it is like the first word of Portuguese I learnt and some people think it is related to Japanese too right? I know that is right… so if you say it is wrong then you smell really bad. hehe

Haha what’s shizzle kicked off? =)) =)) That just sounds funny lolz! It’s okay! Haha I understand that you had a lot of things going on right after your long vacation *is still jealous*! haha I’m not exactly sure if it’s related to Japanese (i didn’t say I was wrong!! haha) but there are a lot of Japanese in Brazil so… maybe?? haha! Oh and a trivia! Tempura (the food) really actually came from Portugal and not Japan.

Haha baka same lang, I haven’t been to Ocean Park HK in years! Pero one of my fave places ang HK. Used to go there all the time. hehe
