Flying Over A Nimbus Cloud

No animal titles today again! Sorry feeling all so sad and depressed, what with the Maguindanao massacre and school work and personal reasons, I’m sad today. Yes dears, I won’t call it depression yet but the anxiety that this problem is giving me is almost giving me a heart attack. Just please pray that everything will be okay. And yes thank you dears for being concerned about my foot! It’s a lot better now, I even played basketball yesterday (It’s my PE) but maybe I shouldn’t have ran that much… I’ll see if I can play tomorrow, I really want to especially after eating a buffet at Makati Shang (UNLIMITED FOIE GRAS OMG) because it was MY DAD’S BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY!! *hugggggzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz daaddd* You’re past silver age now! Aww he still looks young despite hitting the 50 :D I do LOVE my dad! And by the way, I’m a food geek and I have eaten in China, US and Korea and I can say that the Philippines simply have the BEST COOKS or BEST FOOD out there! I swear, our buffets are GREAT! The Philippines really have great foods my international friends :D

Sighs, it is so sad the headline of today’s newspaper, around 52 people WERE MASSACRED in Maguindanao (a province in the Philippines) today including journalists, thus making our country the worst place for journalists in THE WORLD (yes we beat Iraq grar ). And the cause of this HORROR? POLITICS. Elections is coming up next year and these frigging COWARDS, rival part/clan of the one filing for candidacy for mayor just couldn’t take the heat and decided to just murder, mutilate, rape his family members, supporters and they absolutely spared NO ONE. I am so enraged at how inhumane this is, how these DEMONS (yes they’re not humans anymore for me, sorry) could just murder with no regrets. With no second thoughts. I really want to bash their heads together and think of other horrible and greater tortures for these BEASTS but I have decided to just let the Lord JUDGE THESE PEOPLE. JUSTICE SHALL BE SERVED. JUSTICE HAS TO BE SERVED!!

Can you blame me for being such in a foul mood? And I still have a ton of schoolworks and orgworks that I have to do but no energy to do. Argh. Sorry for such a bad post today. :(

But thank you to Angelica for this meme, it’s a nice pick-me-upper and I hope everyone could reflect on the things that are POSITIVE. We gotta have some positive energy here! You are not just NOTHING.

And on a last note, scientists have discovered A NEW TYPE OF CLOUD!

Say hello to OUR 5TH KIND OF CLOUD: ASPERATUS *yes elementary kiddies, you have one extra cloud to memorize! XD haha!*

These choppy clouds could be examples of the first new type of cloud to be recognized since 1951. Or so hopes Gavin Pretor-Pinney, founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society.

The British cloud enthusiast said he began getting photos of “dramatic” and “weird” clouds (including the above) in 2005 that he didn’t know how to define.

A few months ago he began preparing to propose the odd formations as a new cloud variety to the UN’s World Meteorological Organization, which classifies cloud types.

Pretor-Pinney jokingly calls it the “Jacques Cousteau cloud,” after its resemblance to a roiling ocean surface seen from below. But the cloud fan has proposed a “formal,” Latin name: Undulatus asperatus–roughly, “a very turbulent, violent, chaotic form of undulation,” explained Pretor-Pinney, author of the new Cloud Collector’s Handbook.

Margaret LeMone, a cloud expert with the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado, said that she has taken photos of asperatus clouds intermittently over the past 30 years.

I hope to see these new clouds but I’ve been observing our skies lately… there are certainly weirder cloud formations now. I really have to bring a camera outside everyday now. I took some shots yesterday but none like these. I have seen some wavy ones but alas NO CAMERA! argh!

  4. grabe sis noh?!kahit ako nalulungkot sa nangyari sa maguindanao.walang mga kaluluwa ang gumawa nun, as in! hindi ko lubos maisip kung pano nakaya ng mga kunsensya nila na gumawa ng ganun!para lang sa isang pwesto, kinakailangan nilang pumatay ng ganun karaming tao. nabasa ko rin sa yahoo news kanina yong ginawa sa wife ni mangudadatu, grabe 3x daw hiniwa yong genital parts tapos binaril pa, pati yong 2 breasts nya binaril! grabe nuh?!

    Sana lang talaga huwag panigan ni Gloria ang taong nag papanalo sa kanya at sana naman may gawin na ang gobyerno para maimbitahan sa presinto ang mga mastermind para naman mabigyan ng hustisya ang lahat ng naging biktima nila.

  5. – They are evils. I do know that the person or people behind this crime are those whom small people look up to. That fact sucks bigtime! I do believe that they will be punished. They should be scared now because God is about to give them what they deserve for doing such terrible things. For now, let’s just pray for the departed souls and hope that they find justice fast.

    – I feel quite sad as well but I dont like talking about it. I’ll just bottle it up inside me for a while. :| Hm, I hope that whatever’s bothering you / making you sad right now will go away. I’m here for you. :)

That’s so terrible about the massacre in Maguindanao. :( I was reading a news story online about it earlier today and it’s just sickening how people can do this sort of thing, all over an election. I swear, it’s always things like politics and religion that bring out the worst in people – just when it really should be the opposite. :(
    Sorry I missed the ordeal with your injured foot, but I’m glad it’s at least getting better now! And buffets are awesome, I love them too! I always eat far too much of course, but come on, isn’t that the point? (Well…sort of! lol).

    And that new cloud looks really awesome; I haven’t seen anything like that myself but now I’m going to be looking! For some reason the name makes me think of asparagus in a science beaker though…(asparagus combined with apperatus = asperatus). Sorry, don’t mind me, I’m just insane. ;)
    Anyway, hope you feel better/happier soon. That meme was a nice pick-me-up though from the looks of things – I might do that myself one day if I can think of some honest answers! Lol.

  7. That massacre is totally frightening, and upsetting. This is one of the many reasons why I dislike politics so much, and why I sort of hate how money drives people crazy. It’s very very sad to know that not only the journalists were killed, even civilians and innocent people were involved. The murderers have no conscience, I swear, and I really really pity them. (and of course the victims).

    And as much as I find that new cloud interesting, I don’t want to see it in reality. LOL.

  9. That cloud looks super badass, here in Finland it’s basically been just gray for the past week, literally. The sun came out yesterday for like 5min, but otherwise it’s been absolutely grey and the clouds have covered up the entire sky. We’re just waiting for the autumn rains, then for the winter, then spring, then SUMMER! I wish I could live in a place with all-year-round summer. I do like winter, just not every year…

    We humans are such a low species. There aren’t many species in the world that kill other members of their species, definitely not for reasons like we do. For example, war. If I decide to go shoot someone on the street right now, I would be put to jail and probably a mental institution. But if I go to the army and then fly to Iraq, or wherever in the world, and start shooting people, I get a medal for being a hero. What? Where’s the logic?

  12. I feel so sad on what happened to Maguindanao. Because of that, we’re now labelled as one of the world’s dangerous countries. I feel disgusted to that people would acutally do that for politics. I’m disgusted at corrupt officials who keep stealing money from us, yet our country hasn’t even progressed, now I’m even more disgusted. I feel pity for our country. :(

As no country is safe from bastards like those. Is just those who are very passionate bout politics and whatnot do the worst which makes them stands out the most…those kinds are as bad as terrorists.     I do love asian cruisines – never had phillipine cruisines or korean for that matter – I always had japanese or chinese, I do luv japanese.

    Those clouds – as creepy as they may look (looks like something outta a horror flick) they are very cool at the same time.

  17. that massacre was so heartbreaking and absolutely insane.. how can a normal person did such act?? i agree w/ u though when u called them demons w/c is the best description that can be associate w/ them. that’s unforgivable and death is not enough to pay back for the stolen lives. yes, i’m too rude but no one can blame each one of us who only wants for justice to prevail. anyways..it’s a pain in the ass hearing bad things and misjudgment about our country caused by this soul-less demons..too disgusting.

    it’s nice to know that u have such traits like being positive and seeing the bright side..u will not have much problem if you have those positive traits inside u….:)

    the cloud is way too mesmerizing!! love the details and ways it’s formed.

    sometimes,life can be too distressing as much as we run away from them…but that should not lead us to depression coz there’s always reasons behind that…i hope that u can easily get over the things that saddened you… hAve faith and be more optimistic.take care:)

  19. I heard about the massacre and as always when I hear about things like this I was deeply saddened. How some people can be so cruel and heartless is beyond me and it gets to me every time. The world can be such an ugly place! I try to think about the people doing good though. That there are those who dedicate their lives to make a difference, help others and spread love. Even though it doesn’t make up for everything bad going on at least it give me some hope about the world. That’s what I try to focus on when I hear about things like this and that’s the only thing that keeps me from totally giving up on mankind.

    I’m glad you did my meme. We all need to focus on positive things more often and especially when we’re feeling down.

  24. actually dati ba nag usap nayang 2 groups na yan na ang mangundadatu will run for governor which agree ang mga ampatuan that was year ago then nung malapit na ang filling the ampatuan wont allow the mangundadato to file their coc weeks or months before the filling lam na ng mangundadato na aabangan sila that is why mga babae ang pina file coz di nila sasaktan mga babae kasi di daw gawain ng muslims un but di nila expect na mas worst aabutin. the mangundadato asked for military escort pero ayaw ng military ayun natanggal sa pwesto. weeks ng naka harang ang daan na yan para di sila maka punta municipal talaga.
    sis correction its not sultan kudarat kasi iba ang sultan kudarat sa manguindanao its just that na ang manguindanao ay hiwahiway me north me south hiwahiwalay yan..

    And I agree with you on the Maguindanao Massacre. I can’t believe how incredibly merciless they were. People in Mindanao now live in fear with the knowledge that such people exist.
