It’s Ancient History….NOT

And now finally I present…. MY REAL SITE! I actually made an older history 5 years ago but that blog is now lost to us forever. There was something really gravely wrong with the blog and that was why I was forced to delete it. I regretted it so many times but now I am finally at peace with it. I will always remember you… my second blog. My first blog is at xanga you see.

Now here’s the real story to this domain name. Ever since that 14 year old me opened a blog, I imagined that my future site will be named jynxedpanda so that’s why I never changed the URL up to now. Jynxed came from the word jynx and this word is particularly memorable to me because my friend, let’s call her Banana, uses it all the time when we were young. Particularly whenever we said the same things together so I became fond of it. It wasn’t until at a later time I really knew the meaning why she would say Jynx. haha!

Panda now came from my best friend, let’s call her Choopuffy. My best friend from Grade 2 was my very first e-mail friend too. Back when YM and MSN were not known to my 10 year-old’s ears, I frequented writing e-mails and talking with much gusto so that Choopuffy and I wouldn’t lose touch during the summer. We then suddenly out of some “AHA” moment thought of nicknaming each other a particular bear. We were in LOOVEE with bears and since we weren’t familiar with the types of bears, we decided to go with the common (well they’re not really common now! wahhz) names, Polar bear and Panda bear. I became Panda and Choopuffy is now Polar. Mix Jynx and Panda together, and you have jynxedpanda.

Getting a domain was the next step. With the help of plurk, I was able to contact Sis Gel and Sis Aisha about the cheapest hosting with domain package. There were actually a lot and I had to bookmark all of these. But after a day-long rigorous deliberation on May 3, 2009, I decided to with Kisty’s awesome hosting plan! I saved money AND earned a lot of diskspace and bandwidth so that if ever I decide to add a gallery in the future, it wouldn’t be much of a problem. Kisty is also a good friend and is super helpful! She always replies fast and I’m sure that if I post a question today, I’ll be able to get a reply a few hours later. I knew I was in good hands so I immediately signed up. And true enough, I got it that evening.

I’m glad I now have my own site. I hope that I’ll be able to continue blogging like a pro. You can still check my blogger for sentimentality purposes. haha Well thanks for viewing this page! I’ll now be previewing my previous layouts in my old blog. Hopefully there’ll be new themes next! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to save up some WordPress themes and I kinda forgot what I used…. haha! But focus on the now!

UPDATE! I am now hosted by the lovely and awesome Luana of Honeybabe.net. I can’t believe that she took me in after that fiasco with Nolimits (Bubblecrush hostees were moved to Nolimits after). Am very happy under her care

POOH’S PARADISE V.1

Well this was my very 1st layout so pardon for the childish image. It took me a very long time to think of what image to use. Winnie the Pooh just suddenly came to my mind and before I knew it, my hands were working on their own and this is the result! It lasted me for 5 months and I’m happy. =)

STARING UNDER THE SKY

Born on: Dec. 27, 2005

This is my 2nd layout featuring a vectorized (my first vector! Not too good..) bird (i’m not sure the species) on a branch staring under the velvet (violet) sky. When I was thinking of a new layout, I wanted it to have a touch of Christmas but not in the commercial way (gifts, lights etc). I wanted to show the true meaning of Christmas and I also wanted a layout that would last me for months (I’m a lazy bum.. hehe). Inspiration struck when our English teacher asked us to make a Korean Sijo (in English that is) and what i wrote about was a bird anticipating the birth of Christ. Though Christmas has gone, I still wish the feeling of Christmas will continue the whole year. This lasted me for a month. I really liked it! hehe

PINKISH BEAR REALITY

This layout was a gift from my adorable online sister, Ate Kitty! Isn’t it beautiful? I was really surprised when she gave me this because I didn’t know that anyone would go so much trouble for giving me a gift.. wahhz.. Love ya ate!

PANDA BASKING UNDER THE SUN

My biggest accomplishment as of that time! This was my favorite layout because I liked the theme and the thought of a Panda going to the beach. I mean when does that even happen? I thought that this concept was unique and hardly anyone can say that they made a layout like this.
