Thank you guys for reading my article on SOPA. I know it’s not the best explanation but it’s sort of a brief intro on it. I really want people to become aware of THIS HUGE ISSUE that’s going to affect the whole INTERNET. Call it communism or socialism but they are trying to hold a monopolistic power over your Internet freedom. Please read as much as you can about it even though it has been TEMPORARILY SHELVED at the moment because the FBI isn’t waiting for some bill to pass. They’ve already killed Megaupload and Megvideo and what’s stopping them from taking Dropbox (aww sh*t I have some files in there! I better back it up…). If you haven’t read it yet, I hope that you do read it if you have time!

Imagine that, Timothy Brown after 4 years of an innovative procedure… suddenly has no more trace of AIDS in his system… this is groundbreaking news! I hope that this year, I’d be able to blog more responsibly and spread news such as this more. I do like sharing information with people, information that I care about too. Maybe this is one reason why I’ve thought of being a journalist… but it isn’t one of my top career goals. I just really like sharing information with people… is there a name for such person?

If you were able to read about my very depressing post (the one about hamsters), I dreamt a very weird dream that night and I have been dreaming and have recalled EVERY DREAM THE PAST TWO WEEKS. Is this normal? Do you dream and then remember your dream every night? I was able to do some research online and every article says that EVERYBODY dreams except you probably don’t remember it since you woke up too far from R.E.M. stage or you didn’t have an R.E.M. stage. It’s so strange that ever since I internalized and thought about death and was frightened and shocked at the possibilities because of my sickness, I’ve been dreaming EVERY night constantly and sometimes I dream more than one dream. Sometimes I feel like the dream has been going on for a LONG TIME and once I even dreamt of the dream TWICE in a row but in a different manner. And just the other night, my dream felt SO REAL, I thought I was having a lucid dream. I somehow knew in my dream that I was dreaming…. and swimming in the ocean under the bright blue sky and I thought to myself, “Wow this is so realistic” inside my dream. Usually though I have weird dark and morbid dreams (i just had my Zombie Apocalypse dream, also me getting sliced by a meat cleaver at my back, don’t worry I wasn’t frightened of these dreams since they’re so common and I probably got used to it :/) so the wonderful dream about swimming in the ocean was such a respite from the past days.

Maybe it’s my subconscious telling me that graduation is nearing…

In one month I’m about to enter the real world…

and my subconscious is saying…

Not yet.

Hey guys! Just want to feature a rising Pinoy band that is composed of my fellow Atenean batchmates! Their music is actually quite different from the local Pinoy artists and it has a really good alternative so I’d suggest this to fellow 80s or 90s fans Check it out!

So when Discovery Channel started its Curiosity series, I was intrigued. Heck and they keep on showing the commerial for its episode on female orgasm and what it’s for narrated by maggie gylenhall. But what really interested me was their segment for….WAIT FOR IT….

Andrew Sage (guy from myth busters) tries to explore this world and yep, freakily (is there such a word?) the technology we have today seems to be telling us that it is possible in the near 50 or so years. XD) I really liked the segment except for a few farfetched parts (a flying brain… Seriously? but…) anyway i’ll stop yapping and you can check it out now. So it’s the New Year tomorrow. Besides asking a lot of questions, I do want 2012 to be a fresh start. So many thins will change and i am optimistic at saying that 2012 be an awesome year for me. I swear that today will be the last day of procrastination. I have to fix my life and find le reason! LE REASON! I even thought of a new tradition of writing down this year’s failures and achievements and burning it afterwards. Or maybe i should only burn the failures… Maybe oh dear i only have a few hours to decide xD.

I’ve really been meaning to blog since a week ago and im already lost in project 365 because of the backlog. Still currently interning ~somewhere in the Amazon~ and doing THESIS at the same time. I wouldn’t mind if they just arrived one by one but together? They make a pretty challenging pack! Aside from being addicted to books (30 books so far!!) and finishing Outsourced season 1 (IT’S FREAKING CANCELLED WTHECK!! will devote A post on this… Someday..) and Community season 2, i cant seem to squish blogging (le gasp i’ve even not touched tumblr for weeks now) in between. I have still to return comments! It doesn’t help that wherever I work has not internet. Am just using now the free 15 hours wifi on Globe. Le sigh…

I am so excited for June though because of so many things (cough bday cough! But i wish i could stay the same age… XD)! 4th year, french friends who are coming here, so many last things, and of course hopefully an opportunity at what I want to do in life will appear! I want to do so many things! It just takes a lot of effort, time ad sadly money. Howell, will get back to you bloggie again sometime!!

Life is like boxing, you never know when you’re about to be bloody hit by your opponent. Whether you’d be the one giving it or receiving it.

That was a whacked out simile but after what happened yesterday, I now officially know that Someone up there is always looking out for me. I only had an hour to sleep yesterday because I was doing our project and finals at the same time and expert crammer that I am, I thought that I could do it. But because of some bugs, the project didn’t want to run at all. The Graphic User Interface didn’t want to load at all and 30 minutes before the defense, I was still staring at some bunch of code. I couldn’t even test it out if it worked. But lo and behold when my partner and I opened it at our computer lab, it worked.

IT. FREAKING. WORKED.

Sure there were some bugs now that we finally found out (and fixed on the spot XD) but that was beside the point. We didn’t have to stare at some molecules of O2 or CO2, we actually had something to present to our professor. It was certainly one of the most nerve-wracking episodes in my university life. Have you ever experienced that?

Mom treated me to some nail spa afterwards. THANK YOU MOM!

Life also hands out unexpected things, like saving us when their was this STUPID FRIGGING DRIVER who cut across a truck and got his sorry arche licked. Good thing despite his stupidity, only his car and the truck was damaged, phew nobody got really hurt. Well maybe his ego. Good thing we didn’t get hit in the process because we were only seconds away from being hit too. Moral of the story: DRIVE SAFELY AND BE WARY OF CRAZY DRIVERS.

So happy that you guys liked my post yesterday and everyone was raving about the bookstore! It was definitely beautiful wasn’t it? I wish I could stay there forever… it was too bad I went there at night time, then I got a kebab afterwards! The streets beside it were alive and bouncing.

My readers before would know of my student exchange last year from August-December and I remember telling everyone that I would write about it day by day, but life is all about focusing and moving onwards. So I decided to just feature something with each post. Doesn’t have to be in chronological order. I shall definitely still have plans to post on my Eurotrip guidelines. Pls watch out for it!

We girls were screaming when we first saw a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower as our friend’s uncle drove us to his place on our first night in Paris and we screamed even more when we saw it up close! It was… awesome! We even saw a raid! Let the pics tell you all

I really wanted to share a book with you guys. I picked up this book in The Shakespeare and Company bookstore in Paris, France (every wall had a book crammed in, even the sides of stairs were not spared. It was the dream place of every bookworm!) even if saw this book here in the phils, the cover drew me to grab and sniff the pages, flip through them and just hold on tight and never let go. Im a judge a book by a cover type of person (because covers are part of books too though harry potter is my totem for breaking this rule of mine back then) and i fell in love with this edition. I wasn’t sure of the plot yet but i bought it anyway along with another book. After reading it tonight, i couldn’t help shed a tear. Scratch that tears.

It was wonderfully told in the point of view of a german girl living with a german family during the second world war. I have a bias towards holocaust novels and i love them for some reason. Maybe because i felt humanity in their pages. Of how humanity is capable of such goodness and extreme atrocity, what a wonderful and dreadful paradox! I loved Number by the stars and the Diary of Anne Frank but this book i shall remember up to my grave because of such compelling charactwrs. I cried at the hopelessness and futility of it all. And i remembered the fall of tearsdrops ive been shedding the past few days. Maybe it was because of academcs, of the intense pain of enduring that “cleanig” session in the derma a while ago which involves needles (yes it hurt like hell), and of whatever shallow or whatever reasons, i’ve been tearing up.

But then i contemplate and i try to still see some goodness in life. After all we’re here and we can’t do anything about it. There must be a reason why everything was made like this right? Sorry for such thoughts but I need to reflect a lot especially since my Philosophy final orals is next week and our professor wants insights, not just some parroting students. It’s a good thing too he let us watch Wit (HBO, 2001), a very um.. witty and remarkable tv film with the awesome Emma Thompson! I really loved how they explored death and the life of a person while the settings are only in the hospital or the university. It really does make you think…

I really do indeed recommend reading The Book Thief and watching Wit! Please do because these are such gems and am sure it’ll add something to your thoughts and reflection. I am really jiving with Maroon 5′s This Love now despite the time (man I remember that they became famous around 2004, first year high school! haha) gap because…. I’ve posted late again! Not because of love, but because this week is the HELL week of summer class. It’s the end to put out all the ends and I’m really striving to make it good especially in Japanese now. Japanese is fun as long as you have the time and patience and of course, the gusto to learn! Hai, soudesu!

So the weekend was… kind of extradordinary! You know times that you think were rough but they turned out to be pretty good after all when all has been said and done. I attended my… let’s see, my 6th concert last Saturday evening when the Davids came to town! Cookie was the American Idol last year and Archie was the runner up! Man, I never thought that Archie would be so cute in person! And Cook really knew how to pump up the crowd! It’s just to bad that those that weren’t his fans were visible because some of them just SAT DOWN AND WATCHED. Hello it’s a concert people? You’re supposed to scream and jump and go crazy! haha Too bad we weren’t able to sneak in the meet and greet tent! Arggh! So no pics guys Just gonna share 2 videos that me and my friend took! Sorry for the shaky cam and all. haha It looks like something that came out of Cloverfield.

Went home around 12:30am already and then had to wake up at 5:30 for rifle competition. I’m such a bad member right? lolz! haha well I had fun anyways even though my shots weren’t as good as the others and I finally had some bonding moments with the team! I didn’t go to the range that much last semester due to some conflicts. Rarr! But am making it up for this summer! Have to really train! ehheeh. I loved shooting in the Marines’ range because it’s air-conditioned and it was a particularly BLASTED HOT DAY. Thank the Lord!

Haha to all those who saw my tag in my last post and asked about why we took care of soo many animals… well i’ve just got one answer and that’s LOVE! Haha seriously, I mean would you take care of that much animals if you didn’t at least love them? Well it turns out that loving too much is too hard too since you keep on parting ways with them. This is the reason why we’ve cut it down to 3 birds, 1 parrot, 2 cats, 11 dogs and 5 puppies and a fish now. I miss my old pets… We’re breeders too by the way especially on golden retrievers, shih tzus and poodles. I’ll be actually putting up an online shop just NOT SURE WHEN. Have to see have to see Click here1, here2, here3, here4 of some of the pets we’ve had. No reptiles nor exotic animals here though

Have you ever heard of fredflare? I first heard this from my good friend Danwei of Cornyness shop (do visit her! She has the cutest earrings in the world!) because she was actually featured there! And then I saw these adorable PANDA UPSIDE DOWN MUG!! It would have been loads better if it were upright since you can’t see the Panda properly without letting it stand upside down. There are other animals styles too like cats and pigs but of course, the Panda’s got to be the best! hehee

Well I’ll end this note with a song! I’ve been bitten by the Chinese-emo-songs bug. I was feeling so lonely and dejected one day last week and my friend shared some of JJ Lin’s songs and they are wonderful! Guang Liang, another Chinese artist, has some lovely songs too but I’ll share them some other time. Try to listen even if you don’t know the words. The song is heartfelt and you’d understand it somehow too
