Kris also gave the most awe-ness and funny acceptance look ever! hahaa He also gave one of the sweetest hugs I’ve ever seen to his wife (DARNNIT! WHY IS HE MARRIED AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE NA? he’s only 23…) and man… it was really touching. These winning moments always get to me no matter what contest it is. Gorsh.

I’m a bit torn with the results though. I’ve noticed Adam since auditions because he was so… DIFFERENT and he had a very big personality. You always knew that you were in for a fun and UNPREDICTABLE moment with him! Haha But around the top 8-ish, I suddenly grew this seed of pang and I started being pissed at his screams. I don’t know why. Or maybe he just has the same tone in screaming. Danny Gokey proved that he can scream too though except with less pizzaz! haha I even made his scream into my ringtone! Ang sama ko! *I’m so bad!* But anyways, I knew Adam had a LOT of talent.

But came around that time too when i came to notice Kris Allen because of his humility (i admit i think he lacks SPICE until now. Hope that something big will happen to him!) and his ORIGINALITY. Some people might disagree with me but I think he made every song his own. Every song now has a trademark K.A. on it and I absolutely love his mellow voice. He proved himself to be one of the bests when he did Ain’t No Sunshine and then became a winner with Heartless! Even though I dislike the song No Boundaries (the coronation song), Kris did a good rendition on it in his STUDIO SINGLE (sorry the live performance didn’t click with me). It’s now the NUMBER 1 SINGLE ON ITUNES!! Kris is actually dominating the chart already with Heartless and Ain’t No Sunshine on the list too.

So those who are bashing Kris as a winner, I’m sorry but he DESERVED THIS. Adam DESERVED THIS AS WELL. Heck I wanted to crown both of them as a single unit KRADAM and get on with life already but there must only be one winner. If they say that they won’t watch AI just because of this, then what can I do? There’ll be newer viewers, newer voters and honestly will the change be radical? No. And Kris won BECAUSE OF AMERICA. Don’t blame Idol on this. Dudes, Kris won because OF YOUR VOTES (whoever the you is) and no one else. So he does deserve to be there because of YOU. The magical word is YOU and no one else no one else… oops I’m singing now hahaa

Not even 24 hours after being crowned idol, his single “NO BOUNDARIES” is already the NUMBER ONE song in iTunes. Heartless is at 4th, and Ain’t No Sunshine is at 10. You don’t get a fluke when you’re talking about money and buying songs now. Kris AND Adam will make it big no matter what happens. Let’s wait for their CDs now okay? I’ll always love your music Kris! Be like Jason Mraz BUT please don’t grow a beard @_@

And I’ll sure get Adam’s songs especially if they’re like Mad World. Just please… NO SCREAMING!! haha

Have you ever heard of fredflare? I first heard this from my good friend Danwei of Cornyness shop (do visit her! She has the cutest earrings in the world!) because she was actually featured there! And then I saw these adorable PANDA UPSIDE DOWN MUG!! It would have been loads better if it were upright since you can’t see the Panda properly without letting it stand upside down. There are other animals styles too like cats and pigs but of course, the Panda’s got to be the best! hehee

I’m an avid of Disney classic movies. Name ‘em and I know everyone of them (3 Caballeros! wee). I want to work for Disney or Pixar someday. Call it childish or what. I really do like movies and Disney

But what I don’t like is the current Disney now. Do they have to reinvent the classic Disney songs? take Miley Cyrus’s rendition of Part Of Your World. Tottally BUTCHERED! Gosh do you even want to see the video? I’m not going to post it here because it is trash. Just go to this link if you want. This is just a mini-rant. RAGHH! Sure adding a twist to a song is no problem, I mean countless of songs have been redone like Always be My Baby (referring to Cook’s version) but this? THIS? Horrible! A more tolerable version is Emily Osment’s version of Once Upon a Dream (i love this in the ORIGINAL version) but come on Disney execs, don’t remake them anymore!

I was a bit saddened that no one noticed my cliffhanger last post *i’ll never make another cliffhanger post again! Stomps feet like a child* haha kidding! But still who here has watched Star Trek?

Well I heard about it loads of times especially on the movie blogs I frequent (plugs plugs them in Links) and TheMovieBlog even gave it a 9/10! Even though I don’t agree with the author most of the times, I knew that giving this a higher rating than The Dark Knight was INSANE and I love insane things so I watched it without a clue on the plot or characters. I also wanted to know who the heck Spock and Captain Kirk was.

Well I didn’t regret walking through the cinema gates blindly and even dragging my whole family to watch it. Mum and dad even at first just wanted t stroll around the mall coz they didn’t Star Trek was their “thing” but thankfully, they watched it anyways! For those who were in the dark like me, here’s a general view from TheMovieBlog and I quote,

The basic synopsis for Star Trek looks something like this: �From the first scene, the Star Trek universe as we knew it has changed forever. Kirk is now an angry wayward young man looking for trouble. He fights with Starfleet cadets in Iowa when a Capt. Pike takes an interest in him, finding out he�s the only �genius level repeat offender in the Midwest�. Pike dares Kirk to join Starfleet, goading him with the legacy of his father. A young Spock is tortured over his mixed heritage, the emotions he fights to control and the very different paths he has before him. He must choose between the Vulcan world which will never accept him as anything other than �half human� and Starfleet Academy, worlds away from everything he has ever known.

We meet Dr �Bones� McCoy and a young linguist Uhura at the Academy and watch as a headstrong Kirk wreaks havoc on Starfleet�s rules and regulations. Kirk�s antics culminate in his reprogramming the famous Kobayashi Maru test and consequent disciplinary hearing. He comes face to face with the scenario creator, Mr. Spock. As this unfolds; a vicious Romulan from the future is hell bent on vengeance upon �Ambassador� Spock and nothing will get in his way. The fleet is called to arms as peril aims at the heart of the Federation and Kirk and Spock are irrevocably pulled together to save the galaxy – for the first time�.

Think of Star Wars and you sort of get the same plot but what made Star Trek stand out was the humor inside the movie. There were actually a lot of comedic parts that you’ll never get bored even halfway through the movie. The characters also are very engaging *they weren’t stiff!* and animated. It was a movie that had story, characters, effects all rolled into one and I had a jolly good time with it! I especially loved Spock’s backstory and now I’m a Spock Trekkie. Is there such a thing? Zachary Quinto did an AMAZING job as Spock. I now love Spock. It’s official! *blushes*

But I don’t know… it’s not a 9/10 for me because of two things. Captain James Kirk’s lack of backstory. Or I don’t know. I didn’t get him much because I wanted to delve more into his psyche. All I got was a chockful of Spock (he is indeed drool-worthy) but I wanted to like Kirk too. And since this is already the 21st century, some of the “science” just wasn’t believable. Roger Ebert did say in his review (he only gave Star Trek a 2.5/5!! WHAT??!) and I agree that there were some illogical concepts in Star Trek. I mean their FIGHT SCENES. Why use HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT/SWORDS when they already have the technology of SPACE/TIME WARP and Star fleets and Teleportation? Weird weird weird. And the villain Eric Bana? Uh… forgettable.

So I give Star Trek a 8/10. I thoroughly and honestly enjoyed the movie, nay LOVED THE MOVIE.. I would have wanted a bigger piece of James Kirk (okay this sounds wrong) and more villain-worthy fights but over-all. I loved it. It’s not perfect but howell… You get the point.

Well on to more happy things! My panda features (category is All About Pandas) has its first story now! My old online friends would know that I am a bag-a-holic. I love loovvee bags especially those of different colors so I’m collecting bags in different shades (different designs though). Too bad I can’t afford any designer bags like Louis Vuitton (well my mum used to buy before their prices skyrocketed to oblivion), Hermes, Prada, Bali (i super love mum’s old Bali bag!) so I just resort to drooling on the glass windows/online site–I mean–window shopping. And I just came across this….

HOLY CRAPPING COW IT’S A PSYCHEDELIC PANDA ON A CLASSIC MONOGRAM??!!

Your thoughts? I love/hate the Panda. I mean on a CLASSIC LV? That really doesn’t look good to me. You can’t just slab a colorful panda and get away with it you know Takashi Murakami. I don’t know… it’s suitable on a different kind of bag but the classic… nah! Don’t you just love the other designs though like the AWESOME LV store in Japan designed by Murakami himself! *hyperventilates at Panda-awesomeness* Now one more reason to go to Japan! haha. I do love the colors though it can be distracting a few times but the flower ball, the Panda BIG-ASS plushie! :(( When can I get one? NEVER. *cries cries and hints that birthday is just a month away*

I was excited to hear that some of my readers LOVE AMERICAN IDOL! Dramedy! Who here thought that during the top 3 performances, more airtime was covered by the judges childish antics? and Kara DG, BOO YEAH YOU WERE TOLD OFF BY SIMON!! BWAHAHA!! TAKE THAT!!

So everyone by now knows that the final 2 are indeed my favorites to win American Idol, KRIS ALLEN AND ADAM LAMBERT! (I ACTUALLY VOTED FOR KRIS 3X!) At this point, I honestly don’t know who’ll win yet. 3 weeks ago, I was so sure that Adam would win it hands down even if it were a Kradam finale, but after hearing from die hard Kris fans, I think that Adam is losing a bit of fanbase. Plus now that Gokey’s (i really liked him as a person, plus he looks like RDJ! *squeals*) gone, who would the fans choose but fellow crooner and soul-ish voice Kris!

Kris did an AMAZING rendition of Heartless. When I first heard this, I said WHUT? HE’S GONNA RAP? But it turned out to be one of the best acoustic songs shown on AI. I’m not kidding. Best acoustic indeed! I was disappointed with Kris’s rendition of Apologize but Kara DG just went too far. It wasn’t bad, it was GOOD but not impressive. I did love the studio single. I swear I love Kris’s voice on the studio versions. Go check them out pls here!

Adam disappointed me with One. He started off wonderfully but when the chorus kicked in, the essence of the song was booted out too. It just became a swirl of screams and high pitched noises. Gosh Adam… it was okay but not good. I wasn’t that impressed…
He made it up for Crying though! Simply loved it! But I wish he would choose a rock ballad next week! He’d hit it out of the ballpark I tell ya!

And to show ya why Kris and Adam also LOVE each other like bros, here’s a little heartwarming story for you all!!

1. My family has taken care of approximately over 100 dogs (goldens retrievers, poodles, shih tzu, etc etc), 100 birds (budgies, etc), 20 dwarf flop-eared etc rabbits, 5 chinchillas, 1 ferret, 9 fishes (flowerhorn etc), 2 cats, 7 stray cats, piranhas, 2 bearded dragons, 4 star tortoises, 6 sugar gliders, 100 dwarf hamsters and… I think that’s it. We sold most of them that’s why we only have around 15+ dogs now

2. I used to sing in a lot of Chinese singing competitions ever since I was 5. I received only silvers and bronzes until the fateful day in my 4th year high school (my last competition) and won the gold. MIRACLE I TELL YA!

3. I got locked out of the hotel room and didn’t cry! HA! THIS IS AWESOME! But i was so scaareedd! I kept going up and down the elevator, looking at the receptionists, staring at guests while waiting for parents to arrive.

4. The contest that I truly loved and am most proud of winning the gold is my prep 3 English story-telling competition (i was 7). I worked my ass off back then and stayed every day. Riicchiiiee the nauughhttyy rabbit!! bwahaha

5. My heritage is unique and I’ve got a wacky exccentric paternal family! My citizenship is Filipino but not an ounce of Filipino blood in me. I’ve got the most percentage of Chinese, then Spanish, then Portuguese! I’m a mutt as the English would say. :P

6. I usually have morbid dreams…. I wish to have normal dreams like seeing my crush! But I did have an awesome dream so much like that. There was this blonde dude and asian guy… both were handsome! lolzz But most importantly, they were intelligent and way way nice!

7. Am a MOVIE GEEK!! Watched almost a thousand movies now!! Well approx only but am guessing around that hehe and an avid book lover too! Got around 600 books or so!
