I’ve really disregarded my blogging friends… I’ve let you all down for not visiting you guys… I AM SO SORRY!!! I am really forced to take a hiatus because I am in a major PICKLE RIGHT NOW! No make that, I’m in a HUGE WATERMELON RIGHT NOW (or gourd or whatever big fruit you can think of). I’ve got only a month and a half left of school and I’m hanging by a thread in the dean’s list this semester because it’s so darn hard. I don’t want to talk about academics anymore and I don’t really want a hiatus. So now am not sure what to post about either because my mind is such a mess. I want to share a lot of things though… maybe I’ll just treat this month and a half as tumblr posts. I’ll only post little snippets and blog posts but I won’t be able to return comments at once. Maybe I’ll reply in a week or two so please forgive me!

Maybe I’ll just talk about my very unique birthday last week. I celebrated the night before with my best friends and then I was left alone inside the house. My mother went to Cebu to attend a dog show, my dad went to Baguio because of a meeting so there they actually gave me freedom on my 20th birthday. To tell you the truth, it wasn’t much fun really because I really was alone so i woke up to my birthday alone. Maybe it’s a foreshadowing and a preparation because I will be leaving my family for 4 months and this will give me courage and independence. I was glad that I had 5 doggies with me in the room though. I then attended my organization’s formation seminar and actually is the first time I really went out with people aside from my family on my birthday. I didn’t want a fuss so I was uncomfortable spending it with friends because I was used to spending my birthday with my family (my birthday usually doesn’t coincide with school classes so there :D). But this was a new experience, it was fun to be around people! I was actually piggy-backed for almost 5 MINUTES! man I won’t explain why but all I can say, it hurt for the both of us XD (guy carrying me and myself XD)

I’m so glad too that our balikbayan box from the US (it took 45 days of shipping time!) finally arrived! I got my Sandman#8-10 and Fables#1-3 graphic novels and I really can’t wait to read them all!! hahahaa Other stuffs were bought by mum and her friends so shipping fee wasn’t that expensive.

OH AND I FORGOT! I finally have pictures of my netbook with the gelaskins I ordered! I’ll be selling the other two. XD hahaa I do need money for my France trip!

To those who read my PHILIPPINE ELECTIONS 2010: Food For Thought post, thank you very much! I’d appreciate it if you guys still read it, TOMORROW IS FINALLY THE ELECTIONS! For those undecided, you still have a few hours until you decide. Research well!

And for those asking if I bought the insanely expensive Rosetta Stone, think carefully when I said *cough cough**pirated** cough cough*. It’s not exactly a good thing but I can’t afford the original one T_T Sighs… If I only had money, everything I own would be original but no can do…

Okay so that was initially the introduction of my “latest entry” but I backed out and I went on hiatus and I’ll be actually going on another hiatus next week because of long exams and midterms. This semester is darn hard and I am trying to really fix it up. I’m so glad History 165 (Philippine History) is over because it’s the subject that tortured my soul out during summer class. It ate up all my free time and urgh, I’m just so happy that everything’s over and done with. I’m so glad that I actually edited a video again and it came out pretty good. That video saved me from my quizzes. Was able to scrape a B+ but an A would have been good… Should have done better in my midterms darn!

Now my only problems are Philosophy (it’s actually my favorite subject now despite all the headaches I’m getting from it. It really opens you up to a new way of thinking. I’d recommend anybody to take it up if it’s not in your core curriculum. Just get a good professor, one of the most important parts in class-picking XD), Software Engineering and Computer Organization. Computer Organization is kinda darn difficult but hopefully I’d manage!

I didn’t make an outline or list-of-things-to-blog-about again for this post so pardon me if my post is all over the place. xD I’m so grateful that you guys are really still visiting especially hello to my new blogger pals! I’ve been getting an alarmingly amount of AD-SPAM comments. Have you ever gotten those comments that suddenly talk about home loans or anything? Sorry those who try to advertise on my blog by COMMENTING, it’s just so weird to be getting those… I delete them right away XD

So I’ve had more free time this week so I was able to finish a new series (and it’s my new love, way better than Glee in my opinion :P) called Community. It’s about this lawyer who has to retake a 4-year college degree because of some problems with his previous degree so he decided to take the easy way out by attending the Community College of his friend, a psychology professor, but after trying to woo the first hot girl he sees, he suddenly “forms” a study group and then all hell breaks loose! This show introduces a new favorite character of mine who I’d like to call the next “Sheldon”. If you watch The Big Bang Theory then Abed of Community will definitely remind you of him but in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MANNER. Watch below if you want to watch a preview! I swear you have to watch this!

It’s so sad that most series have already released their season finale this week It’s so darn sad especially when it’s summer here and then you’d have to wait for a long time (November right?) for a new season. Darn! Good thing am now starting with True Blood and Flash Forward. Maybe finish the seasons of House and Ugly Betty too once I have enough time. Howell….

I’ve progressed a lot with my project 50 leaves and I’ve read 12 books already! WOOT! (okay so 4 of them are graphic novels… XD it’s still a form of a book :D) Am now reading my 13th one and hopefully I can finish it this weekend OR next next week Anybody with a Shelfari account? Add me pls? My project filmography is down in the dumps though.. I haven’t watched a movie in a while…

I FINALLY BOUGHT A NETBOOK GUYS!! Remember my predicament in the past regarding netbooks and how I wanted to so much for a Disney netbook? Well it never happened but I was able to get an ASUS Eee PC 1005HA for just 14,500php!! Woot! Upgraded memory (RAM) and all so it’s just 16,500php. A bargain if I should say since most netbooks here start at 19,000 I even bought Gelaskins for my netbook (still has no name ) and got 1 free since my friend and I availed the buy 3 get 1 free promo. Haha Will share it all once it arrives

My birthday’s coming up next week and I’m just not feeling it again. I’m going to our organization’s formsem (a weekend activity to get to know the new executive board and managers) on my birthday and I just don’t want to go to any activities on my birthday… I don’t like big celebrations since I’m more of a solitary person and I just want to celebrate it with either family or close friends. This is the reason why I chose to not tell my blockmates that it was my birthday on our first meeting (in our freshman’s orientation activity). XD What can I say, I’m a boring person and I don’t want people to fuss XD

P.S. CRYSTAL BOWERSOX IS STILL MY AMERICAN IDOL! I was right in not watching most of the Top12 in this season. I’ve watched my original bet for Top 2 and that’s all that matters. I do like Lee, he’s my favorite in the guys but… COME ON CRYSTAL IS WAY BETTER.

Aww crap, after looking at my horrible sched in my last post, I knew that I couldn’t (but I WILL STILL TRY!) post every other 4 days like I used to. I can’t even blogskip or return comments as usual huhuhu… urgh the PRESSURE! I was able to go out with my best buds yesterday and commuted all over the place! Also finally went to Enderun Colleges (they had such a SCRUMPTIOUS MEAL!! MY GOSH O_O and it’ll definitely make you feel REALLY full. It’s not a culinary arts or hotel administration school for nothing!) to visit Danelle who studies there. I missed these gals!

My brother is in Perth, Australia already by the way! He’s experiencing 10 degree weather while we’re boiling here at 36 degrees. Luuckky him! T_T Funny instance in his stopover at Malaysia, he guided an Iranian family to their flight XD Man it was weird that they approached him, bro went all paranoid XD He’s enjoying so far and starts work tomorrow!

Urgh because of the lack of stories and anything new, I’d just post this nifty EGG-HOUSE that my mum e-mailed me (she e-mails me a LOT OF things. She’s the mum who’s always on facebook XD lOL) and I thought, hey I’d want this as a portable house. Just add some wheels and it’s A OKAY. It’s way more creative than your typical trailer park right? HAHAHHAA XD What do you think? And you could probably scare your neighbors that you’re an alien from outer space or something. I COME IN PEACE IN DA FORM OF AN EGG.

This house looking like a hard boiled egg is made by the Belgian architectural firm “dmvA”. It was actually meant to be a an extension for the “Xfactoragencies” office, but was rejected several times by local building regulations, so instead “dmvA” made a mobile office that didn’t look anything like the old “Xfactoragencies” offices.

The whole “egg house” is made of polyester, and it took 18 months to build it. Inside you can find a bathroom, a kitchen, interior lighting, a bed and several niches for storage, and like that wasn’t enough the nose can be opened automatically and is serving as a kind of porch. It can also be used as an office, guestroom or garden house

So I’ve been missing for about 6 days? Not responding to any of you *a liiee!! I have your blog tabs open right now! Just… i haven’t read them yet TEEHEEE* and why is that? Well same reason as Nigahiga’s reason here *WATCH IT!*

Okay I was KIDDING there. But if you didn’t watch the video, then you’d have no idea what I’m talking about. Nigahiga actually reminds me of someone I knooooww and z XD if I’m going to make a youtube video, then maybe it’ll sound as wacky as his. I don’t know… Those who’ve watched my previous vlogs should know! I tried to do the “surprise” video but my experiment FAILED MISERABLY yesterday so… it’s still a work in progress. You’ll all probably hit me in the head when you see it and go “This is ALL that she’s worked weeks for? TOTAL CRAP!” (hope you guys don’t say it though…)

Gashh but things are just about to get worse. Add to my heavy heavy History load (but of course no match to the load of Law/Medicine majors :D), I’d be getting late afternoon classes. I would really like to tackle culture and environment and money in today’s post. It’s about time to have another one of those posts with tips to help you guys save money. Usually all I post all about the environment and maybe you’ve all read my food rant in the previous posts so now i’ll take a different direction and head on to the other green thing we’re all obsessed about. We need help and sometimes even professional help when dealing with money because face it, it’s the thing that makes the world go round. Throw in a little love but basically it’s the green stuff that ALMOST DETERMINES EVERYTHING. So I’m going to help you guys save a little with this tip

Tip for the day would be… TO CHANGE FONTS WHEN PRINTING. Yes you, dear reader shouldn’t be too ink-happy when printing because not only will it save you ink, it would probably be able to help you save a few dollah dollah bills too since ink is REALLY EXPENSIVE. So according to yahoo news,

The school of 6,500 students spends about $100,000 per year on ink and toner cartridges. Although students and staff can change the default font to something more ink-intensive, Blohowiak said the university expects to save $5,000 to $10,000 per year with the font switch.

When Printer.com tested popular fonts for their ink-friendly ways, Century Gothic and Times New Roman topped the list. Calibri, Verdana, Arial and Sans Serif were next, followed by Trebuchet, Tahoma and Franklin Gothic Medium. Century Gothic uses about 30 percent less ink than Arial.

The amount of ink a font drains is mainly driven by the thickness of its lines. A font with “narrow” or “light” in its name is usually better than its “bold” or “black” counterpart, said Thom Brown, an ink researcher at Hewlett-Packard Co., the world’s top maker of printers.

Also, serif fonts — those with short horizontal lines at the top and bottom of characters — tend to use thinner lines and thus less ink than a “sans serif” counterpart.

NOTE READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE. This doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll completely save the environment because it’s really the number of paper we try to save that really counts.

As for culture, I’ve found this nifty video that talks about Japan. For me this isn’t really racist though the video does make use of humor and exaggeration to explain its point, and that’s the strangeness and wonder of Japan. This video is made by a Japanese so I guess it’s really not racist. I was just very amused and it’ll take 10 minutes of your life but it’s a good 10 minutes. Kudos to the guy who made this! Graphics are awesome!

I also love exploring old houses and museums (I just went to the Ayala Museum and it’s AWESOME! over 1000 gold pieces of our ancestors and they have an awesome diorama of the WHOLE history of the Philippines (around 2000 years ago? kinda forgot)) and I came from my childhood home, my grandparents’ house, yesterday and found A SHOCKING FIND!! My grandparents’ actually have a collection of the writings of GREAT MASTERS OF LITERATURE AND PHILOSOPHY OUT THERE! Man they probably had this collection around the 1960s. I always knew that there was a set of books on top of that shelf as a kid but I didn’t bother looking at it until now XD

This will be EXTREMELY useful for my philosophy and maybe theology classes because heck, we even have the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine! I didn’t even need to go buy books of Shakespeare because I had them all in 2 books. Plus reading Plutarch would have been great for my Western History class. Man… the things you find… I took pics of my grandparents’ house too but I didn’t want to upload them… maybe next time hhehehee

I’d love to explore the whole Philippines first because really, there’s SO MUCH TO SEE! Being in the city all the time sucks and I still want to get away from it all. I’ve only been to Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Quezon, Batangas, Tagaytay, Baguio, Pampanga. Everything is in Luzon! I need to go south and see Cebu, Davao, Mindoro, Iloilo, and of course… PALAWAN! I’ve even been searching online for flight rates and all. It’s not that expensive (for locals) but if you include the hotel accomodation, the works, it’s DARN EXPENSIVE! I do miss family vacations, it’s been a long time since my family went abroad. Last time it was only me and my brother and grandmother who went to visit my uncle in Shanghai. And now with dad’s gout acting up, it’s even more unlikely Do you guys have any relatives or friends with gout? Do you know any treatment of it? Dang I do wish I won’t get it when I grow old. It ain’t pretty…

Okay let’s go to HARRY POTTER NEWS ZOMG!!! If you guys live in the states and you watch Ellen’s show, then you must have heard of her offer to two SUPER HARRY POTTER FANS a chance to go to Florida and take the first sneak peek to THE HARRY POTTER THEME PARK! I’ve been going crazy over this and crying when I heard it in twitter because I’m not a US citizen so… I can’t participate. And then Ellen chooses these 2 cutest little kids to go with her! Here’s the video!

I found it so funny when she asked the kids, “How’d you like that?” and then a cut scene sound XD Man they must have not perfected butter beer yet because it is supposed to be awesome! I really have imagined how butterbeer will taste like. Blame me and my Harry Potter fandom XD

My fingers are itching to press the CHECKOUT CART button in online stores because I’m having this shopping cravings again! Now it’s for The Sandman, cute panda stuffs and BB creams maybe. I’ve bought this cute panda mug from Gel already and I’m wishing that my friend in Korea can bring me home some Sandman novels (in Amazon.com, they have it for 13++$ but in Korea, ONLY 9-10$!! WHOOT!! Every little dollar saved counts Call me little miss stingy!). Now for BB creams.. i have to think about it… but man! I must remember to save up for my netbook and my junior term abroad! Must must SAVEEE!!

I was supposed to make an entry yesterday to add a post at least to March (man I post so few! Sorry guys, but posting for me really takes up time as it takes HOURS to just make an entry. I’m such a slowpoke *gives d’oh face of Homer Simpson*) but March 31 was SUCH an emotional rollercoaster. I was soo happy at the first few weeks because finally FINALLY our new doggy Ziggy arrived!

He’s a HUGE BEAR of a Golden retriever that my mom bought from this famous golden breeder judge in Detroit (well don’t ask me why my mom wanted to buy a dog in the US, how she met this person – well anything is possible with facebook now and all that because it’ll be a long story. I don’t understand it as well but let’s just accept the fact that the dog is here to stay :P) and he arrived last March 29! Man it was a busy day. Everyone was out somewhere, we woke up at 3am just to bring my parents to the airport (they’ll be going to Cebu, a province here for business things), then brother went out to have his medical checkup, I went to Celadon (my organizations’) Ball and had a blast with everybody. and then I waited up to 2:30am because Ziggy came here at 1:30am. Man it was such a long day and I was operating with only 4 hours of sleep. I can’t CANNOT sleep. I need at least 2-3 hours to function well or else I’d probably sludge around like some beast from the underbelly of doom or something. It’s not a pretty sight.

I’m really so fascinated with dreams! I know I’ve blogged about it before but I really do get weird morbid dreams. It pains me to see what my subconscious is talking about when for the past month I’ve had 2 end of the world dreams, dreams of underwater transparent mazes, battling off monsters, chasing for somebody I don’t even know along with some lab-coated professors and one of them had a name Professor Victa. I want to look what’s inside my subconscious. This is why Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman series (the graphic novels) appealed to me soo much that while I was at Eastwood (after watching HOW TO TRAIN A DRAGON. I SWEAR GUYS WATCH IT!! IT’S DREAMWORKS’ BEST! BETTER THAN SHREK! I SWEAR!! I want a pet dragon now too… actually I’ve always wanted one…) I decided to buy the first volume and now.. i’m HOOKED. I have now searched at Amazon and figured that it would be cheaper to buy abroad. Too bad though that free shipping is only available to the US and that my cousin will be leaving soon so I can’t let them buy it. Is anybody in the US coming to the Philippines? Aww man… It’s just so expensive but it’s worth it… There’s even the Absolute Sandman edition where 3 volumes are packed into one and it also includes never before seen illustrations. It’s waay more expensive though and am happy with my normal copy. Am going to try Fables too after Sandman.

And then suddenly emotions came crashing down yesterday during the release of grades (April 1 midnight) and since it was April Fool’s today, we thought that, yeah, our math professor WON’T EVEN SUBMIT OUR GRADES and we laughed it of. Well it turns out HE DID NOT SUBMIT OUR GRADES so we see a BIG FAT “I” (incomplete) in our current grade. ARGH!! I don’t want to assume anything ye so am just going to keep mum and show you this video OF WHAT I’M FEELING RIGHT NOW. Good thing I watched “Catch Me if You Can” last night. It cheered me up LOADS.

Sighs… I’m getting that other feeling again… the feeling of wanting to JUST GO OUUTT AND DO SOMETHING! I was so disappointed that we’re not going anywhere this Holy Week. Unlike other families here in the Philippines who would usually go to to their provinces or somewhere, my family is just staying home. Wish we could go to Tagaytay, or Subic, or Quezon or Bicol but nooo. There are soo many awesome places in the Philippines that I wanna go explorin’! I feel so much like Ellie here. Hopefully you guys have seen Up and know this scene. It’s such a cute and… honest scene.

We celebrated his graduation yesterday at Balducci’s (i think that’s the name XD) located at Serendra (awesome food place here in the Philippines! If you ever go to Manila, do go here!) and the food was awesome! Since am still on my diet, I ordered grilled prawns and the food was delish! Though I liked Chelsea’s better.

Does anybody know what my title is all about? XD Well since it’s almost the elections time already in the Philippines, jokes and comics regarding presidents came to my mind and which president suffered more jokes than anyone? Well certainly that’s ex-President/ex-convict Erap Joseph Estrada. My gasshhh I even have a joke book about him and there’s this one about Erap being asked to translate “A rolling stone gathers no moss” in Spanish by his teacher. And if you understand Filipino/Tagalog + little Spanish, you’d get the joke XD Well this is my own plea to my countrymen, please please,

- VOTE WISELY. Don’t vote for someone who’s ALREADY LOST OUT TRUST
- VOTE FOR SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T CAPITALIZE ON THE POOR
- RESEARCH INFORMATION REGARDING EACH CANDIDATE. Know their mistakes, their achievements. Make sure that they HAVE DONE SOMETHING IN THEIR LIVES
- JUDGE THEM AS AN INDIVIDUAL PERSON. Not based on their family background. Not based on their parents’ achievements
- Take note: CORRUPTION CANNOT BE DISPLACED BY ONE PERSON ALONE. So if someone promises to take away corruption, let him put up surveillance cameras in EVERY POLITICIANS’ HOMES. Of course that will never happen so you CAN’T.

Anyway I won’t turn this into a politics post, I dislike politics anyway.

I’m encouraging EVERYONE to join this forum of Georgina’s and Tiffany’s because… it’s simply an awesome place filled with plenty of awesome people. Everyone is so nice and approachable. So today, I’m going to concentrate on food! Yes, oh that stuff that everyone loves? They come in all shapes, colors and sizes and it’s essential for every human being (who wants to live anyway) and it’s a fun delicious subject! But what are your thoughts on THE GOLDEN ARCHES?? The catalyst for what we know as FASTFOOD?

After watching this year’s Ho-hum oscars, the Best Documentary and Best Shorts caught my eye especially this nominated best documentary film of Robert Kenner called FOOD INC. I did wonder, where the heck does our food come from? How on earth do we feed 6 billion people EVERYDAY?? That’s about killing millions of cows, chickens EVERYDAY. How the heck do we keep up? Well food inc especially explores that in American society. Even tough I’m not American, I can feel the filmakers’ anger, the LIES that you guys have been presented. And I sure hope that it isn’t done in the Philippines (because I don’t think our country is capable of such big factories, I may be wrong) or any other place. It’s just sad to see the HORRORS that happen behind their food industry. It’s so scary… this is why I think that I’m going to STOP EATING FASTFOOD altogether. This will be a big deal for me because I LOVE FOOD. Heck I’m a burger-pizza person too. I eat just about anything but after watching the film, I can’t help stop to think too. I’m also on this diet (actually it’s just, eat less, eat only 3x a day, absolutely NO SUGAR/JUNKFOOD and more fruits) so I don’t eat as much junk anymore and it’s going well. Lost 3 pounds and lost about 1 inc of my waist Took 3 weeks!

Well anyway, I want to stop eating fastfood and God help me. This film also inspired me to pursue my dream of building a farm too. The food industry is one that will STAY FOREVER. I promise you that. It’s not like fashion where style changes every season but food will always be here and farms are ALWAYS needed. I want to have my own farm, a good farm using traditional style of breeding and planting. And maybe add some principles on vermiculture (I blogged about it here regarding fattening up the soil with nutrients with the help of earthworms). I want to help change the world at least with one footprint of mine. I too am inspired to make a documentary, it’s so… meaningful and exciting! Let’s just see what happens. Hope that it stays.

I’m now officially on SUMMER BREAK because I just had my last finals of my sophomore year (crap, I’m NOW A JUNIOR!) and I’m soo happy that we finally got this needed break after the headaches, arguments, frustrations and everything this past week. I swear I thought I was going to get sick because of the pressure but everything went well including our computer project defense! Only thing that let me down was the Science 10 finals because it was soo darn hard! But I’ve really grown to appreciate science because of it. I mean now I can appreciate this article, you know, the world’s probably ONLY IMMORTAL BEING ON EARTH??

It’s amazing that there actually is an immortal being here. AWESOME!!

Congratulations to my brother by the way because he got the AUSTRALIAN GIG! He’s an AIESEC-er (do tell me if you guys are a part of AIESEC or if your university has AIESEC) and was one of the few chosen to apply for internships abroad! He’s applied from India to Norway but he finally sealed a deal with an Australian University that pays well! Not gonna reveal how much, just gonna say that it’s kinda big for an intern and an employee! So happy for him! He’s going to be leaving soon though, NEXT MONTH! I’m so gonna be sad though because I’ll be left alone again at home and I’ve got nobody to bug at home anymore It’s so sad…

Remember my last post about music? Like how it was the universal language for all of us? It’s true that mathematics can arguably be also our universal language but I’m in music’s side. I just didn’t realize, never knew… that MUSIC IS RESTRICTED IN SOME COUNTRIES. Especially in Islamic countries where they think that music actually makes you lazy and should only be used to glorify Allah. I’m not saying it’s a bad rule but to the point where people actually say that say that contestants in their Pop Idol contest SHOULD BE KILLED… is saying something else. I mean these people aren’t even SINGING RAP/METAL. They’re just singing and this means freedom to them. This is an expression of themselves and it is sad that it should be restricted so! I want to watch this documentary that follows the journey of the top four contestants. Anyway here’s a better summary from TheMovieBlog,

I hope that there might be some slight changes in Islam but that is so unlikely… or I mean, people should have this freedom there. I really don’t see anything wrong in singing with all your heart. We sing not just for ourselves anyway, we sing for our loved ones and probably for them, definitely for their Allah. This is certainly such a controversial topic! Everything has a beginning and everything has an end. Whoever said that matter is neither created nor destroyed is BULL because there is the creation of the universe and unless everything was just like instant noodles, then we’d assume that the universe was here all along. There is then no concept of time or anything because a human being just can’t fathom such vast knowledge. Remember that scene in Indiana Jones (the latest one, the one that didn’t live up to its predecessors actually) when Cate Blanchett’s character was absorbing all the knowledge of the universe from *TOOOT* (no spoilers here! XD) and she couldn’t take it and was blown to smithereens? Well I imagine that that would happen to me if I know everything. I believe that God created all so matter did have a creation. sort of Haha And as for the end… will the universe end? Well go back to Indiana Jones story and you’ll know my answer. I think that if it is meant to be known, we’ll know then or probably after life.

Sorry for such an “emo” introduction but I can’t help thinking about the past, the present and the future now. It all connects to saying goodbyes. I hate saying goodbyes especially to the people I love. I really disagree with Elton John and I think that somtimes, Sorry isn’t the hardest word. Goodbye is. Sometimes you can’t even say it. You can’t even look at the person (okay maybe sometimes sorry is really hard to say coz you also get these symptoms) and you can’t help but look away or don’t even attend the departure of that person anymore. I’m not good at adapting, this is why I sucked when we changed sections in grade four. And it also sucked when I had to say goodbye to 2 of my best friends because they were changing schools. I thought that nothing would change even after that but… OF COURSE IT DID. I had even MORE trouble saying goodbye to my dogs (when they passed away) and then saying goodbye to my brother when he went to Portugal for his Junior Term Abroad a year ago and I did shed a tear

And now one of my closest blockmates is going to Korea for 9 months for this sponsored exchange program and I am genuinely happy for her because this is such a BIG opportunity and plus she’ll be going to her dream country and probably meet up with Korean boy bands and get a Korean boyfriend and I am so happy for her! This is a dream come true! But to see one of the closest person in the block, one of the nicest persons you’ve ever met just go away for 9 months, you suddenly imagine all sorts of things like what would happen to you when you get left behind. Things would definitely change.

And I think of my own sojourn to France this September – December. I’ll be pondering on how I’ll be taking this, and how my parents would be taking this too and how everything would change. There must be a beginning to everything but it means the ending of a phase. Of a stage. Of something important but it’s the beginning of an opportunity also!

Okay I feel a little better now

I just attended my first Kpop concert, F.T. Island’s, ever with Gie (she’s the one going to Korea!) and I was even HESITANT of going! Well one thing, I wasn’t a true fan (heck I didn’t even know the names of the members, their songs except for one, the theme song of You Are Beautiful <- AWESOME telenovela for my international friends who love these kinds of things. WATCH IT) but it was the first event that my aunt organized and I decided to support her(plus it was discounted)! And plus Gie really wanted to go so it'll be a bonding moment for us! It was also her first concert EVER. I was soo thankful that it was in an enclosed area. I swear, concerts in the Philippines SHOULD BE ENCLOSED. Even if open-grounds concerts are fun, IT'S JUST TOO BLASTED EFFING CRAPPING F$%^$^(&$&& HOT HUMID HOT HOT HOT!!!! Really, it's just the first week of March and EVERYTHING IS SCORCHING. I SWEAR IT'S CLIMATE CHANGE AND I'M GONNA MELT. I'LL MAKE MY REFRIGERATOR MY NEW HOME! Swear.... ARGH!!

Okay where was I? Oh yeah. CONCERT! IT WAS SOO MUCH FUN!! Because the singers talked to the audience (with the help of an interpreter host, haha XD IT WAS FUNNY!) and plus... I never realized that some of them LOOK GOOD IN PERSON. I actually didn't think of them cute in the posters but when you see them in person... you'd want to melt! And I liked 2 of the guys there, the one at the leftmost and at the rightmost. We were at the leftmost side but had a good view as we all shifted to the right too. XD And the thing was... I couldn't help but...ASSUME (but remember kiddos, assuming is BBAADDD) that Jaejin (leftmost dude) was looking at somebody at our side because... he KEPT LOOKING AT US!!! Swear, and I don't know, he'd even WAVE AT US. I don't know if I should assume that there was 1 second of eye contact between us.. HAHAHAA Okay I'm assuming too much but it would have been nice to say, "HEY I was able to make eye contact with a star, even for just 1 SECOND!" XD Haha am desperate much. Sorry guys! Didn't know the name of rightmost guy but he was the cutest!

It is healthy to let out all the negative energy and I found that out during my guidance interview. Would you believe that this is my first? I don’t count my high school ones because… they’re really useless. It’s cool to talk to a stranger about things and without him/her being biased about your problems right? But still I’m apprehensive, I don’t trust easily so no way will I spill my deepest secrets to somebody. So Anne Frank gave me an idea (am reading Diary of Anne Frank now, hope to finish it and cross off another book in my project 50 Leaves!) and I will be writing a “personal diary” now. I have written before but due to… constraints I stopped. It could be tangible and intangible but am sure that people will only be able to read it once I’m gone (a.k.a. not alive) Hope that it will help me with my problems

I noticed in the last comments that only a few of you watched the movies I mentioned, come on guys, YOU NEED TO WATCH IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE!! I SWEAR!! It probably won’t make you cry, but I GUARANTEE THAT YOU’LL LOVE IT. And thanks to youtube, you don’t have to download it (and it’s in TECHNICOLOR! I first watched this in Black and White but now there’s technicolor version for free, you lucky dogs. And I even bought a DVD of it teehee, I wanna watch the special features plus it was on sale) Here’s the 1st part of 14. Watch it if you guys have good internet connection or download it I’ll give you demonoid codes even so you guys can download it online

My spirits have been lifted because of the STRESS this week. Okay that didn’t sound right… but at least it took my mind on other things and concentrated on our History Class Project: Our Medieval Fair. Don’t think that’s like the medieval fairs in the US or Europe (nothing like that!) It’s a program by the girls in the class where we have to have a Medieval song, play and dance. How do we Asians know what to do? Well google and some racking of the brains! haha Merce (our singing head) took a medieval poem and compose a melody for it. I helped with the play and threw in some suggestions, in the end we took Macbeth but concentrated on Act 1 Scene 5. Dance was choreographed by Rana and she took inspiration from cotillion. We also had to find a way to collate and integrate everything so we had to interpret and add these little things. All in all, IT WENT WELL!!! I do wish we had something like the ones in the US though, like real costumes (we only took our prom long gowns and debut gowns XD but the others rented. Am saving money so no rent for me )though. Next time then!

And of course, the culmination and the 25% of our grade… THE BATTLE AT BELLARMINE FIELD!! Haha It was the most awaited event for Western history students and it was my first time watch AND PARTICIPATE!! haha The guys will do their demonstration and performance of battle forms and then there will be a BATTLE USING BALLOON CLAPPERS!! haha XD We French and English armies had to battle it out with the HUGE MACEDONIAN army. Point of the game was to remove the cups stuck from the chest of the person using the clapper and guess what?

WE WON!! hahaa!!!! SOO COOL!! Even if we girls lost in our battle, the guys managed to pull it through and TAKE VICTORY!!! The other army was even unfair because they STUCK PACKAGING TAPE to their cups to the point that they even TAPED THE WHOLE CUP while we only stuck 4 pcs of Masking tape. DESERVING WIN!! WHOOT!! hahaa
