.Aww no one got the inside joke! haha XD The “Let’s TED it up” was referring to an episode in How I Met Your Mother when everyone started using the Ted as a verb which means something like “doing something foolish”.

Thanks to all those who read and liked my super long post! I was browsing through my old posts last week and I realized… I used to write even longer than that! XD And my blogger blog had longer entries. Don’t worry, hope you guys noticed how I’ve been trying to shorten my entries now for the convenience of both of us.

Thanks too to Sis Tricia for putting me on the site spotlight! Thanks dear!! Gosh…

Admit it guys, you must have been LSS-ed or at least have been annoyed or you liked the song Watcha Say by Jason Derulo. Here’s a video just to refresh your memory

This song automatically played in my mind when the Oscar nominations came out last February 3, 2010 and as tradition, I have to blog about it. I already posted the list here in Tidbits Movie Blog but I really can’t help but blog about it here too! I’m really into movies and I really hope to at least work at least once in my life related to movies or something This is why my dream too of going to Pixar is like hitting 2 birds with one stone… wait that’s cruel… hitting 2 targets with one stone. Check out my project filmography! 14 movies so far this year!

So wait where was I, oh yeah! This song played in my head because for the second time in FOREVER since the first Best Picture Oscar was given that an ANIMATED MOVIE WAS NOMINATED FOR A BEST PICTURE.

Guess what animated movie?

Yeah you guess it right, it’s UP!

Did you know that besides Up, only Beauty and The Beast was able to battle with the big boys back in 1991? What do you guys think? Because Beauty and the Beast didn’t win that year, the Academy then thought that animated films were actually doing a fantastic job so they made a different category called Best Animated Film. But guys, what do you think Best Picture means? Isn’t it suppose to be the film that did REALLY WELL regardless of medium used to make the film? What do you think? I personally believe that Up deserves to be at the top *though it won’t win, but it CAN* because it was one of the best films of 2009 and I think Pixar went ABOVE their standards again. So I want to hear your thoughts on the animated film controversy. Read this blog to find out more about it (did you know that for 8 years, animated films were the TOP critically acclaimed movies for their year?)

I do think that this year’s Oscar is going to be GREAT. I’ve been so blaahh-ed about the past few years because of various reasons such as the Oscar host wasn’t good, I didn’t like the Best Picture win or the nominees at all. This year has some very interesting battles especially the duel between the ex-couple, James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow. It is so funny to see these two neck in neck with 9 nominations each. I mean what would reaction be if you’re up against your husband or wife at some award? What should you feel? I think James Cameron would gladly give the award to his wife because his previous monster hit Titanic did win Best Pic already and now his current movie just HIT A BIGGER ICEBERG and broke all movie records. He’s a Box Office director no doubt! I am so excited to see how this turns out but I think Kathryn will get her awards I have yet to see Hurt Locker though, will watch it soon!

And then we have Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin as hosts! A TEAM UP! This is going to be so awesome because I believe these two have great chemistry. I have yet to see somebody top my favorite Oscar host, Billy Crystal!

And of course, 10 NOMINATIONS FOR BEST PIC. How the heck will they present them all? What would the hosts’ intro be? AND DISTRICT 9 WAS ACTUALLY NOMINATED!! I FRIGGING LOVED THAT MOVIE AND I’M SO HAPPY IT’S THERE.

Sorry for the all caps, I just love Oscar season even if some don’t *and I’m sorry if I’m boring you all* but I can’t feel anything but happiness. This actually cheered me up last Tuesday because I felt so down. Sniff. I feel like a kid in a candy store

So here are the four major categories of the Academy Awards. No bets yet until I watch them all! I have a month (March 3 – Oscar day) to watch them and a month to decide. I’m hoping Carey Mulligan for Best Actress! Did you know she played Kitty in Pride and Prejudice alongside Keira Knightly? I DIDN’T BAT AN EYE AT HER THEN BECAUSE SHE HAD SO FEW DIALOGUE. But when you watch An Education, WHOA she has grown so much!

I don’t really like award shows so I rarely watch them. I do think that animated films should be put in the best picture category because they still are films, just with drawings. UP was very emotional for me, I loved it. I can’t say what my fave actress/actor and all that are cause I am very indecisive.

Whatcha Say is a good song, but I don’t listen to if often.

3. Fave movie of all time?: I enjoy Stand By Me. It’s one of those movies that you can watch numerous times without getting tired of it. I know almost know every scene. xD I suggest you watch it sometime.
4. Fave actor/actress?: I like Natalie Portman, Ashley Judd, Anjelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Kate Beckinsale, and a whole lotta of other people!

Definitely. Among the great animated films would definitely be Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. Animated Films have this heart warming feeling. When you come to think of it they should receive more credit than live-action films. Animated films are a lot more difficult to do and requires a certain level of talent to pull of.

got noooooo….Idea… I dont pay attention on the hosts most of the time. haha..

Deep Impact = First movie to make me cry

Seven Pounds = Also made me cry and cant stop smiling after watching it. Life is beautiful.

Freedom Writers = definitely a must see.

the Great Debaters = another favorite because im a debater

Kingdom of Heaven = Definitely my all time favorite. not because it’s a war movie and is based on facts although still fictional. It has great morals and impact. I adopted most of the philosophies of my life from this movie.

Will Smith and Adam Sandler = Very well rounded. I have yet to see a type of movie that they cant do.

Elisha Cuthbert = she’s hot…:p need I say more?

5. Fave animated film?

Ghost in the Shell and Afro Samurai: Resurrection. they are not mainstream animated films but they are really good. specially Ghost in the Shell.

another one of my favorites would be Monsters inc. and Finding Nemo.

A film shouldn’t be eliminated because of the medium in which it’s done. I mean, yeah Up was a kid’s movie, but there was a lot of adult stuff in there, so it’s not just made for kids. I think most animated films aren’t considered because they are aimed at quick entertainment for the kiddies, but when the effort is put in to make them appeal to everyone, yeah, they deserve the acknowledgment.

But, I think awards shows in general are overrated, so I’m not too excited about the Oscars

Up was so cute. It was one of the few animated movies I have actually wanted to see in a while (Princess and the Pea being the newest!)

I’m not sure if I agree that animated films should be in the same category as other things. I don’t think any animated films would win if they were – mainly because they (most ) are directed at children and although adults watch them, I don’t think they’ll ever compare in most people’s mind.

My favorite Oscar host ever is probably Hugh Jackman. But I have to say Billy Crystal is EPIC. Prolly one of the funniest man I’ve ever seen on TV.

Favorite actress, Natalie Portman for sure. She looks so exquisite kasi. Napapalesbo ako when I see her. LMAO. Kidding aside. Favorite actor? Uhmm. IDK. Rob Pattinson? Kasi he makes me laugh even though super serious yung scene.

I’ve to say I’m not really into movies and such. They are pretty expensive and my favourites are fantasy movies. To say the truth, there isn’t a lot of fantasy movies out there so I don’t watch movies often. Oscar is a far away topic for me, heard of it but never really spend the time to watch it. I’m just not a very TV person. :P

=YUP. I think most animated films are really good.They deserve it. I’m actually looking forward to animated films more than,uh,normal(?) films.
